Authorities announced the Launch of 5G in Pakistan

Pakistan is about to enter a new era of connectivity with the grand launch of 5G which is a welcome development. This important launch will revolutionize various aspects of life and bring many opportunities to help us move forward. 

Currently, 4G is being used in Pakistan which has played an important role in making the country prominent in the IT industry. Pakistan ranks 4th worldwide in freelancing which is not only a matter of honor but remote workers also contribute to the economy. After the launch of 5G, more such achievements can be seen which is a welcome thing for the country and the nation.

After years of hard work and preparation by the authorities, the launch date of 5G in Pakistan has finally been announced. The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has announced that 5G is going to launch in August 2024.

5G has been in the pipeline for the last few years and its completion date has been given several times but it has not been successful this time the officials have taken drastic steps and sent a formal request to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for the selection of a seasoned consultant who can share valuable experience for the upcoming projects.

Not only this, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has also sent a brief to the Prime Minister’s Office to form an inter-ministerial advisory committee that will play an important role in bringing 5G to Pakistan.

The quality of the internet in Pakistan is not good, according to special internet index Pakistan is ranked 79th out of 100 globally and this was noticed by the IT Minister and PTA Chairman in a meeting.

5G is designed with faster speed and the ability to reduce latency. According to Qualcomm, 5G delivers peak data rates up to 20 Gbps which is much faster than 4G. 5G will usher in a second wave of innovation, empowering startups and redefining entire industries.

More than 90 countries are using 5G networks, with South Korea being the first country to adopt 5G in April 2019. Pakistan’s neighboring countries, China and India have already adopted 5G, while Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong, and some other countries in the world are using high-speed internet.
